- Frankly, the opportunity to establish AristoCare Home Healthcare in Tucson ten years ago was thrust upon me.
- The large corporation for which I was a VP in Texas was restructuring and consolidating, demanding considerable more travel and personal life challenges.
- Changes in the Medicare and reimbursement process opened the door (necessity, opportunity) for a private business option.
- All my family is from Tucson, and my entrepreneurial father had long been campaigning for me to start a new business.
- A family owned, operated and branded business with multiple points and franchise partners was right for me.
- My leadership background in healthcare and personal training as a nurse gave me the foundation from which to launch the business, in particular to position the firm and franchising model to:
- Serve the aging baby boom population looking for new models of care, specifically to spend their closing days as independently as possible in their own homes.
- Help those entrusted with the responsibility of the elderly, in particular those who may not be in close, frequent proximity.
- Provide experienced, professional nurse-based services – routine assessment of the elder; education, guidance and oversight of companions and aides.
- We are partnering with community colleges to offer special companion and aide certification classes to expand the base of caregivers, along with attracting many nurses who are ready to step from the otherwise stressful circumstances of their field and return to patient-centric care. This is a new career model which promotes lifestyle and professional balance.
- Long term care insurance is a must in this day and age, to protect our legacy assets and investments for those we love, as well as provide for our own needs in the latter days of life. AristoCare partners with several providers and advisors to educate the general public.
