- The Hearts of Peace Project was born out of a simple conversation between colleagues – our path – dedicated to helping Autistic children and their parents go through a lived experience. This is NOT a social model, but a therapeutic one. We are going from the realm of ideas to fruition.
- In the US today, 1 in 150 children are striken by autism, in some states 1 in 80. Vaccination is a contributing factor, yet autism is surfacing in places where children have never been vaccinated. Research continues.
- Our mission is to offer 15-20 autistic children at risk, a very safe environment, respectful of the parent-child relationship; a slow, simple and on-the-ground approach as a developmental journey to release the grip of autism. We will offer parents techniques and exercises to take home to continue with their children, and include one-year follow-up assistance.
- While there are over 65,000 websites providing information and support on autism, The Hearts of Peace Project is unique as for the first time experts are collaborating to integrate five modalities to allow children to wake up to the reality of the world over time:
- Homeopathy – natural medicine of “like cures like”, safe and gentle treatment for clarity of mind and stability of emotion, mineral and plant medicines of highly diluted substances
- Nutrition – GAPS (high protein diet, organic fruits and vegetables) to deal with healing within the central nervous system, globally recognized for its range to address a variety of disorders
- Neuro developmental training – to reduce inflammation in the central nervous system, reflexes, patterns in the brain
- Cranial Sacrial Therapy and massage
- Color and Light Therapy – remedies linked to homeopathic treatment
- Extra lesson work through Art and Stories – healing and harmonizing through observing from memory the pictures of our lives
Starting in Tucson, we will offer a five-day therapeutic, experiential model for autistic children ages 3 to 20 August 2nd to 7th, 2009, at the Tucson Waldorf School. We welcome donations of money, time and talent to help guide our soft path on this hard mission.
